ABOUT THE ROLE
Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern, Finance Associate (Filing & Accounts Payable) to join the Finance team to assist in our global Accounts Payable operations in our Singapore office. The successful candidate will be part of the Finance team and learn organization and multi-tasking skills to complete a wide variety of tasks within stipulated timelines, as well as strong interpersonal skills to interact with various departments in the organization. The intern will also gain hands-on experience in accounts payable and closing processes for Singapore and US operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check invoices, perform 3-way match and obtain invoice verification from project managers
- Filing of invoices for e-copy and hard copies
- Respond to vendor enquiries regarding payment status
- Review and check supporting documents for all staff expense claims
- Assist in online subscription payments
- Support month end closing for AP function, i.e. review and reconcile vendor’s statements with our month end balance record
- Request invoice from vendor for missing invoices from monthly SOA
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
- Systematic, meticulous, great team player and willing to learn new skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Able to commit to a full-time 20 weeks on-site internship
