ING in Asia Pacific

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia and includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Sectors, Lending, Capital Markets & Advisory and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Energy Sector Coverage team do in ING?

At ING, the Energy Sector covers the three sub-sectors of (i) Renewables & Power, (ii) Utilities and (iii) Hydrocarbons & New Energies. The team is responsible for covering clients in this sector, originating, structuring and advising clients as they grow their business.

We focus on two things, financing the buildout of renewables globally and helping our clients decarbonize their business.

What would you be doing?

  • Assist in originating, structuring, and executing Energy transactions:

    • Prepare pitchbooks and other relevant materials for conferences, workshops, webinars, etc

    • Provide analytical, research, and execution support to the Energy team, for both external and internal client requirements.

    • Chance to participate on live deals and develop technical skills relating to energy-sector related transactions.

What qualities and skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria: 

  • Post or undergraduate in any discipline, specializing in engineering, economics, finance

  • Keen interest in leveraging the financial markets to create positive impacts in the energy sector

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and Word

  • Experience in data management and related programming tools will be a plus

  • A good team player who is analytical, detail-oriented, organized and systematic

  • Excellent communication skills with a can-do attitude

  • Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge in other Asian languages, in particular Mandarin
