CORPORATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

You’ll gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of hotel operations and hospitality from a corporate view. You’ll build skills to help prepare you to develop a career path.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES 

The intern will work for Marriott’s Portfolio, Premium and Select Brand Marketing team. Join us on a 6-month internship & deep dive with our team to strategize and execute brand campaigns. The role also extends into media planning, PR, and brand activations. 

 

The internship is based in Marriott’s Singapore’s office. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Market Research (10%): Help conduct comprehensive market research to identify key trends, consumer preferences, in Japan and India. 

  • Campaign Support (50%): Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote Marriott Bonvoy, Premium and Select brands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand management, PR, and media to ensure campaign alignment with brand objectives. Work closely with the appointed creative agency for content creation and development of marketing materials against the media plan. Work with in-market teams to deploy content in key source markets. 

  • Partnership Opportunities (15%): Support the identification and management of strategic partnerships and collaborations with brands / KOLs to enhance visibility of the campaigns and drive business objectives in the region. 

  • Performance Analysis (15%): Assist in tracking and analyzing marketing campaign performance metrics, including search volume, brand lift studies, and conversion rates. Generate insights to optimize future marketing initiatives and drive business results. 

  • Brand support (10%): Coordinate cross functionally for tactical executions for brands, new hotel openings, key cultural activations like world sleep day, yoga day, beer day, etc.

  • Understanding Marketing Strategy: Gain a comprehensive understanding of marketing strategies employed by global brands with a local focus. Learn how marketing plans aligned with business objectives and target audience preferences are put into action. 

  • Market Research Skills: Develop proficiency in understanding market research to analyze consumer behavior. Learn how to interpret market data to inform marketing decisions and identify growth opportunities. 

  • Campaign Development & Execution: Acquire hands-on experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels. Learn how to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling marketing content and messaging. 

  • Partnership Development: Develop skills in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance brand visibility and drive business objectives.  

  • Campaign Analysis & Optimization: Develop proficiency in tracking and analyzing marketing campaign performance metrics, including search volume, engagement, and conversion rates.  

  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Enhance cross-cultural communication skills by working in a diverse team environment and engaging with stakeholders across different countries and cultures in the Asia Pacific region. Learn how to adapt communication styles and marketing strategies to resonate with culturally diverse audiences. 


JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

We are looking for university student who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in marketing with the following attributes:  

  • Ability to learn quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment 

  • Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

  • Enthusiastic and can-do attitude 


QUALIFICATION STANDARD 

Education:  

Undergraduate in Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics or Marketing preferred 

Requirements:

Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass 

Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States. 

Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship 

Grooming:  

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
