Summary

Establish and grow relationships with IT decision-makers across Singapore government ministries, statutory boards, and public sector agencies to identify opportunities and sell SolarWinds products and services. The role involves prospecting, qualifying, and closing business within an assigned public sector territory, and educating prospective users through effective product demonstrations. Works closely with the local channel and the wider ASEAN sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with IT decision-makers in Singapore government ministries, statutory boards, and public sector agencies.
  • Use a consultative approach to manage warm calls and inbound leads covering evaluation requests, trial downloads, and existing customer needs.
  • Work with sales engineering to run technical and non-technical online product demonstrations.
  • Identify the right platform fit for each agency and pursue cross-sell and up-sell opportunities while maintaining customer rapport.
  • Identify renewal, new business, channel partnership, and local public sector market opportunities.
  • Work with distributors, resellers, and public sector-accredited partners on quoting, tender and procurement submissions (including GeBIZ and bulk tender or framework arrangements), and deal registration.
  • Support security, compliance, and procurement requirements common to government accounts, coordinating with internal legal, security, and channel teams as needed.
  • Provide strong service through the evaluation process, create quotes, manage new accounts, and close sales.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, activity, and pipeline reporting in Salesforce.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas.

Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of sales cadence and how to execute it consistently.
  • Experience selling with or through a value-added reseller or distributor; public sector channel experience is a plus.
  • Passionate about selling, with an enthusiastic and self-starting attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals by phone and video while achieving quota.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication.
  • Ability to build and manage a pipeline and provide weekly forecast updates.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce preferred.
  • Solid understanding of IT concepts, with the ability to absorb and apply company-provided training quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience in a sales environment, ideally covering Singapore government or public sector accounts.
  • Familiarity with Singapore public sector procurement processes and the local partner ecosystem.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
