Internship Program Overview:

Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Singapore is seeking interns who can apply Industrial Engineering Productivity Study through Data Analysis, Streamlining of Business Processes and Reports Automation. Wafer fabrication in foundry is the fundamental of all electronics appliances in the semiconductor supply chain. Productivity study is critical since it is important to obtain optimal wafer output during the manufacturing processes. This can be fulfilled with Industrial Engineering's data analysis, streamlining of business processes and reports automation.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Automate and streamline various business processes like factory data extraction, preparation, analysis & reporting

  • Establish mathematical models to capture, predict and manage tool performance of different tool types

  • Prepare and conduct an audit to ensure compliance with industry standards

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in Industrial & Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering OR any related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.

  • Good communication and written skills

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning & organizational skills

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills - proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI, SQL)

*This application is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from Jan 2026 onwards.
