Human Resources Business Partner HRBP, APAC (6 months contract)

Job Description

As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for APAC, you will serve as a strategic bridge between HR and functional leadership, ensuring workforce capabilities are aligned with Axis’ long-term objectives.

You will implement the HR strategy for our Head Region, fostering an environment where operations and people strategy move in lockstep.

You will handle the operational employee lifecycle, from advisory to execution. You will lead by example, ensuring the Axis culture remains vibrant, inclusive, and thriving.

As a contributing member of the wider APAC HR community, you will have significant opportunities to influence our regional agenda and contribute to our global success.

This is a contract role for 6 months, based in Singapore and reports to the HR Director, APAC.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Leadership:  Execute the HR roadmap for regional functions, proactively partnering with Function Directors and the APAC Leadership team to drive the business growth agenda.
  • Culture & Engagement:  You will facilitate high employee engagement and retention by providing front-line insight and strategic advice on talent management, conflict resolution, and organizational health.
  • Operational Excellence: Execute regional HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and C&B, while ensuring local compliance and alignment with established sales region practices.
  • Regional & Global Collaboration: Opportunity to work closely with HR colleagues across APAC and Group HR in Lund, Sweden, to share best practices, harmonize initiatives, and represent the region’s interests on a global stage.

What You Bring

  • Experience: A broad HR background gained within an international, dynamic environment. You understand the nuances of navigating diverse labor markets across APAC.
  • Education: A degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Law, or a related field.
  • Skills: Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to solve complex problems through collaboration.
  • Communication: Fluency in business English is essential, as is the ability to communicate with clarity and empathy across different cultures.

Who You Are

  • A values-Driven Practitioner: You are naturally open, humble, and inclusive, with a Think Big mindset.
  • Big Picture, Small Details: You are equally energized by overarching strategies as you are by ensuring a new hire's first day and paperwork such as employee records are perfect. You believe no task is too small if it contributes to the employee experience.
  • A Trusted Advisor: You possess the emotional intelligence and professional courage to partner with senior leaders and support employees at all levels.
  • Adaptable & Proactive: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable navigating ambiguity to find the best path forward.
  • A Natural Collaborator: You believe that we are stronger together. You enjoy building bridges across functions and geographies to achieve a common goal.

What we have to offer

When you join Axis, you enter a workplace that fosters community, creativity, and commitment. We take care of our people by offering:
