As a Compensation Associate in the Asia Pacific Compensation team, you will play a key role in supporting compensation planning and execution for Asset Wealth Management businesses. You will work closely with HR and business partners, leveraging your analytical skills to provide insights and ensure our compensation programs align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end annual compensation planning through analytics, modeling, and reporting.
- Assist in understanding business priorities and diagnosing compensation-related issues; provide clear analysis and recommendations to help partners make informed decisions.
- Contribute ideas to simplify and improve compensation programs, policies, and processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and risk controls.
- Support compensation activities such as new hire offers, promotions, transfers, budget allocation/forecasting, and retention initiatives.
- Participate in firm-wide projects involving compensation, including policy reviews, changes in practices, and systems development.
- Support and drive APAC compensation activities as appropriate, including regulatory and region-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with a global team that values diversity, commitment, and growth.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a compensation/rewards or HR analytics role within banking, financial services, or HR consulting.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets with high accuracy.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; able to convey insights through analysis and metrics.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive, confidential matters.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and build strong partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience supporting compensation planning or HR projects in a large, matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with compensation regulations and practices in Asia Pacific.
- Exposure to HR systems and data analysis tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications; experience with Business Objects is a plus.
