Support HSEQ programs by managing safety documentation, performing document quality checks, monitoring HSEQ metrics, assisting incident investigations and audits, producing reports, and promoting a positive safety culture across office and vessel operations.
Job Purpose:
Assist in driving Operational Excellence initiatives, quality management and continuous improvements in processes and performance. Provide and support on the Health, Safety, Quality and Environment aspects and risks associated with the Company’s assets, operations and activities in terms of Industry best practices and compliance with relevant applicable Regulations and Company Standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of safety management documentation.
- Perform and manage document quality check in accordance with company’s document control procedures in an ISO certified environment. Identify and report compliance issues.
- Ensure all reports and correspondences are completed on time by functional departments across the company entities.
- Monitor all HSEQ programmes, maintain and prepare required status reports and tender document.
- Participate in incident investigations, ensuring that reports with root cause analysis and lessons learned are uploaded to company’s database.
- Assist in developing and distribution of the internal and external Health and Safety Alerts and Incident Management information.
- Contribute to the continual development of a positive safety culture.
- Engage in internal office and vessel audits to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Participate in external audits and assist in organising management reviews.
- Monitor and maintain fleet HSEQ statistics and customer satisfaction index.
- Any other related duties that may be required by HSEQ Manager.
Requirements
- Team player, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Minimum Specialist Diploma in HSE related discipline or other relevant Marine discipline.
- Min 2 years relevant experience in HSE particularly in Marine/Shipping/Ship repair industry.
- Possess strong passion in HSE.
- Good interpersonal and presentational skills and be able to build relationships with external partners.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good written English and verbal communication skills.
- Occupational health and safety training and practical experience in HSEQ related tasks.
- Preferably has good knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes, incident investigation techniques and risk management.
- Preferably qualified as an internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
