This role provides an opportunity to gain broad exposure across HR operations, employee experience, communications, and engagement initiatives while supporting employees across Singapore, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. This position is based in our Singapore office and reports to the Regional HR Business Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR operational support across the region, including onboarding, offboarding, leave and time-off management, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee record management.
  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employee enquiries, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and HR knowledge base within internal systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies and data governance requirements.
  • Administer HR processes and transactions in a timely and accurate manner, partnering with payroll, benefits providers, and global shared services teams where required.
  • Prepare and coordinate employee communications related to HR programs, policies, benefits, and key employee lifecycle activities.
  • Support the planning and delivery of employee engagement activities, company events, recognition programs, and other culture-building initiatives.
  • Act as an advocate for Morningstar's culture and values, helping foster an engaging, inclusive, and positive employee experience.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, improve service delivery, and enhance the employee experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in regional and global HR projects, supporting implementation, change management activities, and ongoing operational execution.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent and positive employee experience across the region.

Requirements

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in HR Operations or a related HR field, preferably within a multinational company.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work independently.
  • Customer-focused team player with strong ownership, accountability, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience using HRIS system Workday and a continuous improvement mindset is preferred.
