About k-ID

k-ID is the global leader in privacy-first compliance and age verification infrastructure. Recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025, named a Tech Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and a winner of Fast Company’s Next Big Things in Tech, we are building the Age Layer for the internet—the fundamental infrastructure that allows digital platforms to verify age and manage compliance globally without friction.
Our core platform, anchored by the Compliance Development Kit (CDK) and AgeKit, is the trusted engine for the world’s largest game publishers and digital ecosystems. We replace fragmented, manual compliance with a unified API that handles age verification, parental consent, and regulatory logic across 200+ markets. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms like a16z and Lightspeed, k-ID is entering a phase of growth to define the standard for global digital safety.

About The Role

We are hiring an HR Operations Specialist to run the day to day people operations at k-ID. This is a hands-on role supporting a global, distributed team across Singapore, the US, and other international markets.

You will be the only dedicated HR hire and will report directly to the Chief People Officer. This role is execution first and highly operational. You will be responsible for keeping the company running smoothly across hiring, onboarding, payroll support, performance cycles, and core HR systems.

This is a strong role for someone with three to five years of HR operations experience who wants real ownership, exposure to leadership, and a clear path to grow into a broader HR leadership role as the company scales.

  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required

Key Responsibilities
  • Own day to day HR operations including HR systems administration, employee records, access controls, and data accuracy

  • Run end to end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, contract documentation, and coordination with IT and managers

  • Support performance review cycles and manager enablement including timelines, systems setup, and follow through

  • Assist with monthly payroll preparation, benefits administration, and first line support for employee HR questions

  • Maintain device inventory and support device lifecycle tracking in partnership with IT and security

  • Coordinate recruiting operations including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer process support

  • Partner closely with the Chief People Officer to introduce AI native workflows, automation, and reporting across HR operations

  • Ensure compliance with employment, data protection, and confidentiality requirements across multiple jurisdictions

  • Build, document, and maintain scalable HR processes, reporting, and dashboards to support company growth

  • Act as a culture carrier by helping maintain connection, feedback loops, and team health across a distributed workforce

Minimum Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in HR operations, people operations, or HR generalist roles

  • Experience working in a startup or fast growing technology company

  • Strong operational execution with attention to detail and follow through

  • Comfortable being hands on and owning work end to end without layered support

  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters

  • Willingness to learn and support various HR issues across multiple jurisdictions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting employees in the US and at least one other international market

Health and Wellbeing

  • Comprehensive family health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision benefits

Professional Development

  • Hands on exposure with key clients in a scaling global tech company

  • Opportunities for continuous learning through real ownership rather than formal training alone.

  • Direct collaboration with the Founders and the tech leadership team

Culture and Ways of Working

  • A collaborative, inclusive and low politics work environment.

  • Flexible, trust based working culture shaped by a US startup operating model.

  • A mission driven company focused on improving online experiences for kids and teens globally.
