Lead HR functions for shipyard and marine services: recruit and manage contractors and blue-collar staff, handle employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, workforce planning, HR records, and reporting to support operational goals.
Royal Ocean Marine Enterprise is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee all human resource functions within our client's shipyard and marine services divisions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development to support the company's strategic goals and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives of the shipyard and marine services divisions.
- Manage the recruitment and managing contractor or blue collar workers and professionals in marine and shipyard industry especially dealing with work quota
- Oversee employee and shipyards relations, ensuring a positive work environment and resolving workplace issues effectively.
- Coordinate performance appraisal systems to drive high performance and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Lead training and development programs to enhance staff competencies and succession planning.
- Collaborate with management to identify workforce needs and develop appropriate staffing and retention plans.
- Maintain HR records and prepare reports for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably in shipyard, marine services, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to manage recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience with HR software and systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
