About GRaduate Industry Traineeships (GRIT) Programme

The GRIT Programme is an initiative by Workforce Singapore (WSG) that offers fresh graduates with traineeship opportunities

As part of the GRIT Programme, all trainees must fulfil the following criteria:  

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and

  • Graduated in 2024, 2025 or 2026 from Universities, Polytechnics, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE), or other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or

  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024, 2025 or 2026

  • Applicants must have no prior working experience and must be prepared to commit to a full-time traineeship

Governance and Tripartite Relations is responsible for advising on employment legislation and assisting in compliance with both basic and complex employment law. The function is also responsible for the implementation of HR policies covering terms and conditions of employment, employment counseling, employee assistance programs, employee disciplinary, industrial relations management, and other policies.

 

Specifically you will be required to:

  • Support HR data management and conduct quality assurance work

  • Coordinate HR risk, compliance and audit activities, guaranteeing compliance and best practices

  • Assist Employee Relations investigations, delivering resolutions that align with the company's values, policies, and legal requirements, while promoting a fair and transparent workplace.

  • Support engagement with key Trade Unions, ensuring robust industrial relations.

  • Contribute to ad-hoc assignments and projects as required.

 

Requirements (subject to fulfilling the above GRIT Programme criteria)

  • Degree in HR, Business or related field

  • Effective communicator and able to build strong rapport with internal clients

  • Able to work independently with a drive towards excellence

  • An independent and organised worker with a good eye for details

  • Demonstrate initiative to take ownership of assigned tasks and see them through to completion.

  • Possess the drive and energy to work around constraints to achieve required objectives.

  • Resilient and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently as well as work under tight timelines.
