Overview
This is a great opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a regional HR Business Partner team in managing and enhancing the HR needs of our client groups across the region, where we have strong business presence across Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.
This role will have exposure over a variety of HR activities such as talent development (encompassing performance management, talent management and promotion management), case management, employment administration, HR reporting and etc, contributing to a positive and effective workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Development
In close partnership with the APAC HR Business Partners, you will play an active role in planning and implementing the region’s talent development activities such as performance reviews, promotion exercises, and talent review/succession planning exercises.
Training Delivery
You will collaborate closely with the Global Talent Development team and the APAC HR Business Partners to identify the region’s key training needs, implement relevant training programmes and administer global training policies to address these needs.
Case Management
You will play a key role in providing HR advisory to employee queries to ensure appropriate and timely resolution of employee queries, and manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Employment Policy & Administration
You will work closely with the Global Employee Relations team and APAC HR Business Partners to ensure that the firm is fully compliant with the employment laws and regulations. With the guidance of the HR Business Partners, you will also have opportunities to conduct policy reviews and research on HR practices. Operationally, you will take the lead on employment-related matters such as employment pass/dependent pass administration.
HR Reporting/Analytics
You will be responsible for the completion and submission of HR surveys to various regulators as required (e.g. Ministry of Manpower, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, etc, and provision of key HR statistics for internal townhalls.
You will help analyse key industry and employee trends to identify potential HR implications. You will also play an active role in reviewing existing HR process workflows to identify potential Workday system enhancements and perform end user testing where appropriate.
HR Corporate Governance
You will partner closely with the APAC HR Business Partners when there are HR Audit exercises, to ensure that the necessary documents, systems and processes are in place ahead of each audit exercise. You will also help ensure ongoing records filing and management.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in HR, particularly in a generalist role (3 – 5 years preferred).
- Skills:
- Well-rounded understanding of HR processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Strong fluency in English and Chinese
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with HR software (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) is a plus.
