Who you will report to:
This position reports to the Vice President, Services and New Growth.
What you will be doing:
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
-
Lead and manage the overall P&L responsibility for the business unit, ensuring financial sustainability and growth with a budget forecast.

Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the company’s overall objectives, driving new growth initiatives and operational excellence.

Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing business, focusing on maritime technical services such as projects, docking, retrofitting, conversions, and riding gangs.

Explore potential expansion into new services, such as Green Recycling and Sustainable Engineering, aligning with regulatory standards (HKC, EUSRR, EEXI, CII, and EU fuel regulations).

Drive strategic business development efforts by engaging key clients and suppliers, leading global sales and commercial activities.
Operational & Technical Excellence

Oversee and provide technical oversight in maritime technical services, ensuring high-quality execution of ship repair, dry docking, retrofitting, and conversion projects.

Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, and procurement strategies for optimal cost efficiency and quality.

Implement predictive maintenance technologies and condition monitoring to enhance vessel reliability and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and classification society rules.

Oversee current project operations while collaborating with internal project managers and engineers to improve service delivery
Team Leadership & Development

Build, lead, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of 6-8 existing project managers and engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.

Establish a strong team structure and ensure optimal resource planning, personnel development, and succession planning.

Work closely with internal stakeholders, including General Managers (GMs), Vessel Managers (VMs), and Fleet Managers (FMs), to drive internal service adoption and business growth
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

Collaborate with VP, Services & New Growth & VP, Technical to align technical services with client needs.

Engage with internal finance and leadership teams, including President & CEO, WSM & VP, Finance, ensuring alignment with financial and business objectives.

Act as a key representative of the business unit, communicating effectively with shipowners, vessel managers, and industry stakeholders.
What we are looking for:

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Proven ability to drive business growth, manage P&L, and lead commercial initiatives.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience with offshore vessels or offshore marine production is advantageous.

Strong interpersonal skills for communication in a multinational environment and with customers.

Detail-oriented, systematic, and highly accurate in work execution.
What you bring:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
-
A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
-
10+ years of experience in the maritime or ship management industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
-
Demonstrated expertise in project management, particularly in ship repair, retrofitting, and dry docking.
