Job Description

Get to Know the Team

The Digital Sales and Operations team is the engine behind foodpanda's commercial performance. We design and run the systems, processes, and tools that empower our sales organisation to operate at scale across markets, verticals, and functions. If it touches how we sell, we're involved.

Get to Know the Role

As the Salesforce Head, you will own the strategic vision, platform architecture, and global execution of our Salesforce ecosystem across 16 international markets in the EU, Turkey, and APAC. You will lead a multidisciplinary organisation spanning development, administration, architecture, and business analysis, structured across workstreams and delivered through a blend of individual contributors and team leads.

Reporting to the Regional Director of Digital Sales, you will be accountable for the performance and results of the wider Salesforce function - not just day-to-day delivery, but the operating model, prioritisation framework, and long-term capability of the team. You will set the roadmap for high-impact data products that generate competitive intelligence and drive efficiency in vendor acquisition, and you will be responsible for how the function invests its capacity: sequencing competing demands, resolving conflicting market priorities, and defending the roadmap against reactive pressure.

You will be the connective tissue between business and technology - translating commercial strategy into system solutions, arbitrating between stakeholders with competing KPIs and objectives, and earning trust from market operations teams all the way up to regional leadership. This is a senior people-management and functional-ownership role: you will build and develop leaders, shape how the team operates, and own outcomes that extend well beyond any single team.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Own and evolve the operating model for the Salesforce function across 16 markets: defining team structure, workstream ownership, prioritisation frameworks, and standards of delivery.

  • Set and drive the long-term Salesforce product and platform strategy, translating regional commercial goals into a multi-quarter roadmap while defining short-term priorities for your teams.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team, including growing and coaching team leads / senior ICs, building succession, and raising the leadership and delivery capability of the function.

  • Manage capacity and bandwidth deliberately - balancing demand across 16 markets, resolving conflicting KPIs and competing stakeholder priorities, and making transparent trade-off decisions on what the team does and does not take on.

  • Navigate ambiguity, dependencies, and pushback - proactively managing cross-team dependencies, aligning stakeholders who disagree, and holding the line on scope, sequencing, and technical standards when challenged.

  • Partner with product, commercial, and operational leadership to ensure Salesforce products and processes are commercially suitable and drive measurable business impact.

  • Own automation products and tooling, implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistency, and lead process-design initiatives that scale across markets.

  • Drive adoption at scale across 16 markets, influencing behaviour change in organisations you do not directly control.

  • Ensure platform stability, performance, and compliance through proactive monitoring, leading Root Cause Analysis and embedding preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

  • Stay hands-on where it matters: steering solution frameworks, reviewing architecture, and sponsoring proof-of-concepts on new technologies related to or integrating with Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • 10–12 years of overall experience, of which 6–8 years leading teams - including managing and developing people (and ideally other team leads / managers), with clear accountability for team performance and results.

  • Demonstrated experience owning a function or platform end-to-end - setting vision and strategy, not only executing against someone else's roadmap.

  • Deep Salesforce experience across platform architecture, customization, and integration, with a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programmes across markets or business units.

  • Hands-on Salesforce credibility as a power user, configurator, or administrator, with the ability to translate commercial requirements into system design and to challenge technical teams with authority.

  • Proven stakeholder management at senior level - influencing across functions and up to leadership, arbitrating between conflicting priorities and KPIs, managing pushback, and building alignment in a multi-market, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Demonstrated capacity and dependency management - prioritising across competing demands, protecting team bandwidth, and making defensible trade-offs under ambiguity.

  • Experience defining and running requirements workshops, writing user stories and acceptance criteria for CRM/SaaS implementations, and working alongside product managers and engineers.

  • Excellent ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders - and business context for technical teams - with the goal of accelerating decision-making

  • Highly organised, comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-moving, often ambiguous environment.

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken; familiarity with JIRA or similar tools is a plus.
