Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the local management of all project execution activities in the area of responsibility. Each day, you will ensure operations are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating and overseeing team development and standardized process development to continually improve the effectiveness of Project Execution teams.
Work model is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid
  • Leading the project management team and the implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategies.
  • Ensuring that the portfolio of projects is managed consistently based on best practices and ABB policies, controls, and requirements.
  • Overseeing and leading the execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Supervising project execution and performance management through project reviews with the management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfillment and approving any project deviations.
  • Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
  • Coordinating with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures all required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers
  • Acting as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders
Qualifications for the role
  • Degree in Engineering or another relevant course.
  • Excellent project management and people leadership experience.
  • Project Management Certification (PMI, ABB, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience in handling complex and medium to large size projects like E-house, electrification or automation projects across energy industries (oil and gas, offshore or FPSO, renewables, etc.)
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing project teams effectively and ability to engage and motivate people from different cultures.
  • Knowledge in other functions like Engineering, Supply Chain along with strong project management skills.
