Reporting Line
Reports to the Head of Marketing APAC; partners closely with APAC Marketing functional leads across Digital, Content and Events and various Global Marketing teams.
Team Structure
- Directly manages two VP, Channel Marketing Managers:
- VP, Channel Marketing Manager — Hong Kong & Korea
- VP, Channel Marketing Manager — Singapore & South Asia
- Leads a regional team of three across the covered markets, mobilizing additional cross‑functional and vendor resources as needed.
Role Summary
Own the end‑to‑end regional marketing agenda to drive asset growth, deepen client engagement, and strengthen brand leadership. This SVP will set strategy, coach a high‑performing team, and orchestrate integrated programs across content, paid media, digital, multimedia, events, and sponsorships. The role requires a commercially minded leader who excels at stakeholder partnership, governance, and measured execution in complex, multi‑market, multi-channel environments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
- Lead regional marketing efforts, managing a team of three across Singapore, Hong Kong (Global Wealth Management channel), South Asia and Korea; set goals, coach performance, and cultivate a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Actively contribute as a member of the APAC marketing leadership team; share best practices and drive cross‑market leverage.
Strategy, Planning & Brand
- Partner with Head of Marketing APAC, business leaders and client‑facing teams to design and execute high‑impact marketing programs that achieve acquisition, retention and revenue goals.
- Develop and optimize brand strategies that expand the firm’s reach and position the firm as a high‑performance investor, thought leader and solutions provider.
- Enforce brand and messaging governance to ensure all materials are on‑brand, accurate, and consistent across markets.
Integrated Marketing & Channels
- Leverage all marketing platforms—content, paid media, digital, multimedia, events, and sponsorships—to create innovative strategies and build strong client relationships across distribution channels.
- Understand multi‑channel needs; identify common themes to build efficient and scalable programs and collateral.
- Produce and localize collateral for the covered markets (e.g., thought leadership, fund factsheets/commentaries, brochures/flyers, webcasts/videos, website content, client communications), including managing translations and format adaptation.
Events & Activation
- Develop and execute conference and events strategy, including vendor management, venue sourcing, invitation and registration workflows, and on‑site support.
- Coordinate cross‑channel activations and sponsorships to amplify priority campaigns.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Build strong relationships with local channel heads and Account Management teams; facilitate collaboration, proactively identify opportunities and challenges, and support client initiatives.
Governance, Compliance & Vendors
- Coordinate with Compliance to ensure all marketing activities and materials meet regulatory requirements across markets.
- Manage external vendors and production partners (advertising agencies, production houses, designers, translators) for quality, timeliness and cost control.
Budgeting, Measurement & Optimization
- Work with Head of Marketing APAC to set local budgets; manage day‑to‑day spend and ensure activity aligns to plan.
- Compile, analyze and present metrics for programs; deliver campaign and post‑event reports with actionable recommendations; apply learnings to future activity.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
- Professional finance qualification (e.g., CFA/CAIA) is a plus.
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive marketing experience in asset management within Asia, with deep exposure to wholesale/intermediary and institutional segments; strong understanding of Hong Kong and Singapore markets, with remit across South Asia and Korea.
- Demonstrated success partnering with client‑facing teams to acquire and retain clients/assets via integrated marketing programs and measurable outcomes.
- Proven management experience, including leading cross‑functional initiatives, negotiating priorities, and influencing outcomes across business channels.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese ideally (Mandarin and Cantonese; Traditional and Simplified). Korean language skills are advantageous given market coverage.
- Experience managing translations, advertising agencies and production houses; adept at editorial, design, and content workflows.
