Role Description

  • As the Head of Investment, APAC, you are responsible for the investment performance of client expenditure across all channels. This role works closely with the Amplifi commercial teams (regionally) to deliver investment innovation, value and ROI for dentsu and its clients.
  • You are an expert in media investment strategies and client-level investment tactics, and you are able to lead a complex set of markets and clients to exceptional investment outcomes.
  • You are passionate about staying up to date with changes in the media landscape, and you're able to translate the complexity of the changing media landscape into thought leadership for your stakeholders. In this role, you are responsible for growing revenue for the media business across the region, and you do this through strong collaboration between trading teams, client teams, digital and technology capabilities and legal & finance functions.
  • In this key regional leadership position, you will bring together the key investment leaders in the markets whilst driving effective partnerships and practices to accelerate the Investment Management productivity processes, systems and methodology and leading New Business efforts from an investment strategy and media buying perspective.
  • As a recognized Investment Leader, you can demonstrate a capability to build a powerful, differentiated agency investment discipline that exceeds client expectations and delivers commercial returns for your stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to dentsu’s regional portfolio in a collaborative manner working closely with President, Trading & Investment, APAC Media leadership, client & functional leadership and the APAC investment community to ensure the competitiveness of our media buying performance
  • Builds high-level relationships with Media Auditors and their operational teams across all areas of productivity including methodology and Audit principles
  • Build senior media partner relationships ensuring dentsu accesses favourable market pricing and value opportunities & delivers this to clients.
  • Leads the development of new systems, processes and methodologies to improve our client value delivery.
  • Supports local markets as a centre of excellence in proof of performance associated with media buying delivery. You will be a key support centre to resolve major client strategies in local markets.
  • Foster collaboration, improved client outcomes and higher profitability through building future-facing investment strategies that embrace cutting edge trading products & innovations.
  • Leads any applicable contract renegotiations (in collaboration with the APAC President, Investment & Trading, Commercial and Legal teams)
  • Manages the investment regional portfolio to ensure commercial success for the agency, manages revenues and meeting revenue growth targets, whilst minimising the impact of penalties by actively managing any issues with under deliveries
  • Develop unique points of view and thought leadership to investment teams around Asia Pacific to help our clients to reimagine their business challenges, navigate the change, or invent the future.
  • Partner with global investment teams as directed by President, Trading & Investment, Amplifi APAC to support development and implementation.
  • Lead the holistic commercial proposition of dentsu in key global, regional and major local new business activities.
