As a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges which we are facing, learn new ways of working, and help build delightful high quality products for our customers.  

 

Job Description 

The Head of FP&A will play a pivotal role in driving Trust Bank towards profitability, reporting directly to the CFO. This senior leadership position will involve collaborating with the Trust Bank Leadership team, finance, and business teams across our shareholders, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and NTUC. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in creating a performance-driven culture, leveraging data analytics, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making. 

 

The Role Responsibility: 

  • Profitability Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy focused on achieving profitability while aligning with the bank’s long-term goals. 
  • KPI Framework: Design and maintain a dynamic performance-based framework with key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect the bank’s objectives and drive accountability across teams. 
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the Trust Bank Leadership team and finance/business teams from SCB and NTUC, to ensure alignment on financial goals and operational strategies. 
  • Data Analytics & Storytelling: Utilize advanced data analytics to extract insights and craft compelling narratives that inform strategic recommendations and facilitate informed decision-making. 
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Lead the development of robust financial models and forecasting processes to guide the bank’s financial planning and resource allocation. 
  • Budgeting: Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and operational needs. 
  • Cost Efficiency Initiatives: Identify and drive initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiencies across the organization. 
  • Scorecard Metrics: Publish and manage bank-wide scorecard metrics, providing transparent reporting on financial performance and progress towards strategic goals. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships across departments to enhance financial understanding and performance.

Our Ideal Candidate: 

  • Proven experience of at least 15 years in a senior FP&A role within the banking or financial services industry, with a strong track record of driving profitability.
    • Quality Chartered Accountant / CFA/ CPA though candidates with strong profiles with Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting can also apply. 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience in building and managing performance frameworks and metrics, preferably in a matrix reporting environment. 
  • Familiarity with digital banking environments and financial technologies is a plus.
