Job Summary
We are working with a large Telecoms company to hire a strategic VP of Corporate Development with a focus on Treasury. In this role, you will serve as the architect of our global capital structure. You will own the relationship with our banking syndicate, lead our hedging strategy, and integrate equity management into the broader corporate finance framework.
Responsibilities
Strategic Capital & Debt Management
Capital Architecture: Lead the strategy for Bank Facilities and Lines of Credit. You must have a track record of negotiating complex credit agreements ($100M+ range) and managing lender syndicates.
Liquidity Strategy: Oversee global Cash Flow Management. You must be able to move beyond forecasting to optimizing trapped cash, inter-company funding, and overall liquidity buffers.
Fundraising Leadership: Partner with the Executive Team on Fundraising rounds (Debt or Equity), ensuring the company remains well-capitalized for growth.
Market Risk & Hedging
Risk Mitigation: You will be the primary owner of FX Hedging and Interest Rate Hedging programs. You must be able to design and execute derivative strategies that protect the P&L in volatile macro environments.
Board-Level Governance: High-level Board Reports are critical. You must be able to translate "treasury-speak" into strategic insights regarding solvency, risk, and cost of capital for the Board of Directors.
Equity & Investor Relations
Cap Table Ownership: Sophisticated Equity Management, including oversight of share issuances, stock-based compensation impact, and cap table hygiene.
Investor Relations (IR): Act as a technical lead for Investment Relations, providing the data and narrative regarding the company’s financial strength and capital efficiency to shareholders.
Our Ideal Candidate
Has at least 20 years experience in Private Equity and/or Investment Banking, M&A, Corporate Finance or Venture Capital, with background in Treasury managing Capital & Debt Management and Fundraising activities
Has worked in a growth-stage SaaS companies, or FinTeh or Telecoms companies especially the ones that have completed an IPO or strategic sale to investors or secured investment/funding
Has done deal execution, acquisition and divestment
Can operate strategically while also executing complex transactions
Has strong strategic, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities
