Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly analytical Head of Controlling to join our regional team based in Singapore, overseeing the SG&A controlling, Free Cash Flow reporting and consolidation of our three brands (foodora, foodpanda and Yemeksepeti).
As the Head of Controlling, you will oversee the SG&A controlling team and a technical consolidation function. You will lead a dedicated regional team responsible for driving financial excellence across our portfolio. You will serve as a strategic partner to Regional Finance leadership while maintaining a critical, close-knit collaboration with the Workforce Planning team.
In this capacity, you will manage two direct reports: the Senior Manager for SG&A and a Consolidation/FCF specialist. Your oversight extends from the end-to-end management of personnel and non-personnel expenses to the technical consolidation of brand financials. You will ensure management receives accurate figures and drive the development of reporting tools for local, regional, and management teams, ensuring robust Free Cash Flow (FCF) reporting and financial rigor.
Responsibilities:
Own the SG&A Agenda: You’ll lead the team that owns the end-to-end management of personnel and non-personnel expenses for our brands. Your team will be responsible for spotting cost trends, managing risks, and identifying real opportunities to improve the bottom line.
Build and Lead the Team: Directly manage and mentor two key specialists—the SG&A lead and the Consolidation/FCF specialist—ensuring the wider team delivers accurate, timely, and insightful reporting every time.
Direct Technical Consolidation: Oversee the technical consolidation of our brands' financials, including following the Group guidelines and the design and implementation of heatmaps to ensure management receives accurate, high-level figures.
Lead FCF Reporting: Drive Free Cash Flow (FCF) reporting excellence, ensuring data accuracy and developing advanced reporting dashboards for local, regional, and management teams.
Collaborate Across Functions: You’ll act as the key bridge between Regional Finance, Country Leaders, and our People & Culture team. Your role is to ensure our headcount and personnel cost strategies are tightly aligned with business growth.
Standardize & Govern: Ensure our financial policies—including FTE tracking and intercompany invoicing—are robust and consistently applied across the region.
Drive Strategic Decisions: Move beyond reporting to provide actionable insights. You’ll be expected to build complex financial models that support executive leadership in making high-impact decisions.
Modernize Infrastructure: Don't accept manual workarounds. We need you to drive automation, building scalable dashboards that give us clear, reliable visibility into our SG&A.
Education: BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: 8+ years in Controlling or FP&A. You must have significant experience in leading teams.
The Right Background: You’ve cut your teeth in fast-paced industries like tech, e-commerce, or logistics. You know how to thrive in a high-growth environment.
Communication: You can translate complex financial data into a simple, compelling narrative for senior management. You know how to influence outcomes.
Stakeholder Management: You are comfortable working with diverse regional teams and different functions. You should be viewed as a trusted business partner, not just a finance representative.
Technical Skills: You are an expert in Excel. Experience with OneStream or Anaplan is a definite plus.
Specialized Expertise: Proven expertise in SG&A controlling, financial consolidation or FCF reporting beneficial.
AI & Innovation: Strong interest in AI and a passion for leveraging it to improve and automate finance function processes.
