The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is pivotal in advancing the firm's data and analytics capabilities, ensuring strong adherence to data & AI risk & control while enabling the data & analytics strategy for superior decision-making and business outcomes to serve our clients and markets. By leveraging data & AI/ML, the CDAO develops innovative solutions to support commercial goals, enhance productivity, and manage risks. The Asia Pacific Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) advances the firm's data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially value outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses.
The Head of AI Strategy and Commercialization Enablement, APAC is a critical and high impact executive role that will partner with senior stakeholders across the organization to shape the AI strategy, drive the development of AI roadmaps, foster cross-functional partnerships, and spearhead the commercialization and value generation of AI driven use cases, products and solutions to enhance client value, operational efficiency, and revenue growth. The role requires an deep understanding of the wholesale banking and asset management business domain coupled with deep understanding of data and AI capabilities including Data strategy, traditional, frontier AI (GenAI/ML), and agentic AI and how to deploy them safely and compliantly at scale within a Financial Services environment.
This leader serves as a catalyst for responsible innovation, helping the region unlock commercial value, operational efficiency, and enhanced risk management though Analytics and AI solutions and capabilities while ensuring alignment with global AI governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engagement with business and functional teams to deeply understand business challenges, opportunity areas, and desired outcomes.
- Partner with business and functional leaders and AI champions design and formulate a comprehensive AI strategy that is in alignment with global and regional priorities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and drive ideation workshops, design sessions, and discovery engagements to explore the art of the possible with AI, and identify high-value AI use cases and opportunities, balancing innovation with trust, governance, and regulatory expectations.
- Shape the AI portfolio for APAC that enable the big bets and strategic priorities while contributing to the global AI use case portfolio and capability / product strategy.
- Operate as a thought leader, ensuring industry best practice, technology trends, market dynamics, regulatory developments (regional and local), and competitive activity.
- Develop strategic roadmaps, project plans, timelines, milestones and success metrics.
- Ensure regional execution aligns with global patterns, reusable components, enterprise architecture, and best practices.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical execution, curating and contextualizing Data and AI solutions for enterprise needs and explaining complex AI outputs in terms of business value.
- Promote AI literacy and continuous learning across technical and non-technical teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor and collaborate on AI strategy, adoption, and execution for senior stakeholders.
- Leverage relationships with fintech, third parties, and industry bodies to support the AI Strategy.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or MBA with strong technical literacy in Computer Science, AI, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
- Formal training or certification with 15+ years of experience in AI, data science, digital transformation, technology strategy, data strategy within financial services.
- Strong Financial Services Institution domain knowledge and understanding of the different business lines and corporate functions.
- Proven track record of taking AI and ML solutions from ideation through PoC to production in a global organisation.
- Experience engaging with regulators and participating in regulatory consultations.
- Strong understanding of GenAI, LLMs, agentic systems, ML workflows.
- Understanding of data management, data governance, and data domains.
- Understanding of AI governance frameworks, processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, translating complex AI concepts into business value and practical roadmaps.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across regions and building AI capabilities that scale.
- Experience in handling ambiguity and uncertainty, with the ability to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions and the ability to think strategically and develop innovation solutions.
- Understanding of the APAC region regulatory nuances, cultural diversity, and how to manage the regulatory landscape in a global organisation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate strategic direction and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management, change management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Crucial ability to convert complex technical AI concepts into clear, non-technical business language for stakeholders, and vice versa.
