Engines & Power Systems provides the propulsion, auxiliary power and electrical systems that keep aircraft flying. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform deburring, polishing, blending, and hand finishing activities on aerospace components before and after machining operations in accordance with Manufacturing Operations & Tooling (M.O.T), engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Interpret basic technical manuals, drawings, and process instructions to ensure work is carried out according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure all deburring and finishing work meets required dimensional, cosmetic, and quality requirements stated in technical documents and process standards.
  • Operate and support processes involving equipment such as sand blasting, lapping, drilling, tumbling, cleaning systems (including vapor degreaser), and other finishing equipment as required.
  • Use hand tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively, including handheld grinders, polishing tools, engraving pens, and precision finishing tools.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure finished parts meet customer and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and adhere to 5S, TPM, safety, and quality standards within the work area.
  • Support continuous improvement (Kaizen), productivity enhancement, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and comply with operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with Machinists, Quality Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supervisors to resolve workmanship or quality concerns.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Minimum N-Level/O-Level, SPM, or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in polishing, deburring, blending, or hand finishing work, preferably in the aerospace or precision engineering industry.
  • Experience in mechanical trade or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools and polishing equipment is essential.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow basic technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Basic computer literacy: SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma concepts is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.
  • Good teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Diligent, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and support permanent morning shift operations (7:00 AM – 4:18 PM) when required.
