About the Role

Sendbird is at a pivotal moment — moving beyond chat APIs into the era of AI agents. We’re looking for a Growth Partner to work directly with our APAC General Manager in Seoul. You’ll be at the heart of shaping Sendbird’s next growth story, combining strategic problem-solving and hands-on execution to make things happen.

This is not a typical role with playbooks or large teams. You’ll work directly alongside the GM as a strategic operator, driving initiatives that range from strengthening Sendbird’s leadership in Korea — the current top priority — to securing reference cases and preparing for broader APAC expansion (Japan, Southeast Asia, and beyond). The scope spans high-stakes market entry strategies to hands-on execution across sales, marketing, and partnerships.

If you’re excited about joining a global company during a major AI transformation, and you want your work to directly shape how APAC becomes a launchpad for Sendbird’s global growth, this is your chance.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with the APAC GM to identify and drive strategic growth opportunities in AI agents.
  • Lead both strategy and execution — from designing phased go-to-market plans to running proof-of-concepts, customer proposals, operating field events, and procurement negotiations.
  • Localize and execute APAC-specific marketing and launch initiatives, ensuring regional campaigns resonate beyond translation.
  • Develop and manage partnerships and reseller channels across diverse APAC markets.
  • Work cross-functionally with global leaders (CEO, CRO, CMO, CFO) to align regional strategy with global priorities.
  • Prepare strategic proposals and analyses for Sendbird’s executive leadership and board.
Who You Are
  • 2–5 years of experience, ideally with a top-tier professional firm background (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG).
  • We will also consider candidates from other backgrounds including top-tier investment banking, venture capital, or startup/founder backgrounds if you can demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, high standards of execution and rigor, and a true “fire-in-the-belly” mindset.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to structure ambiguity into actionable strategy.
  • A driver with high-agency who brings ideas to the table, but also a collaborator who refines and aligns with stakeholders.
  • Comfortable being a hands-on operator — rolling up your sleeves for execution while thinking strategically at the same time.
  • Exceptional work ethic, grounded in the belief that working smart alone is not enough—true success also requires hard work and effort, which ultimately drive customer wins, business outcomes, and personal growth.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; native/fluent in English.
Why This Role Matters

APAC is not a uniform market. At this stage, Korea is the clear priority — solidifying our leadership and building strong local references that will serve as the foundation for broader APAC growth. From East Asia to Southeast Asia to Oceania, each region represents unique challenges and opportunities. Success here requires both strategic depth and executional grit.

By joining this role, you will:

  • Be at the center of Sendbird’s AI agent growth story.
  • Create referenceable success cases that inspire customers globally.
  • Gain direct exposure to executive decision-making and shape strategies that influence the global business.

This is not the safe path. But if you are driven to grow beyond defined roles and want to help build the next chapter of a global company from APAC, we’d love to meet you.

Our KR Benefits include (but are not limited to):
  • Stock options of the U.S. headquarter that can be exercised after one year
  • Group insurance support for self, spouse, and children
  • Support for medical checkups
  • 7 additional vacation days on top of compulsory annual leave
  • 12-week paid parental leave (both mom and dad)
  • Learn a Language benefit – monthly reimbursement towards language lessons
  • Be Your Best Self: an annual monetary offering (prorated by start date) for expenses ranging from professional development classes and training, to personality assessments, gym memberships, books, fitness classes, mental health services, and massages. We want you to thrive!
