The Group Head, Accounting and FP&A will lead the group accounting and FPA functions in Singapore HQ reporting to the Group CFO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the accounting and financial planning & analysis functions.
The incumbent will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, negotiations with internal and external auditors and business partnering supporting the executive management team.
The incumbent is also expected to lead group accounting policies, group budgeting and planning process and provide leadership guidance to country finance teams.
Accounting and Control
Lead the full spectrum of Finance for the Group from financial reporting and corporate governance within finance framework
Direct the preparation of Group periodic and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting standards
Oversee and manage group financial accounts and audits of the group companies and group compliance to statutory and investor financial reporting
Co-manage group internal control audit and compliance
Establish and maintain robust financial governance of the Group and oversee business units' accounting activities in accordance with policies and procedures
Implement policies and procedures to improve the group's financial controls in alignment with shareholders' expectations and industry best practice
Identify and adjust of evolving business needs, and seek opportunities for continuous improvement in finance and related processes, accounting framework, and systems; and drive the changes and change management
Oversee standardization, formulation and documentation of Group accounting policies, finance process flow & procedures and systems
Represent finance and lead on any restructuring or M&A transactions.
Oversee finance operations to ensure proper control in place and on time delivery of information/services/payments
Talent management for all country finance team which include coaching, hiring, training, mentoring and development of finance teams across the Group
Systems owner for Navision BC, Anaplan Consolidation, FP&A, Asset Register modules
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Orchestrate and lead Vena group wide annual budgeting, forecasting and 3-Year Strategic Planning and business strategic analysis
Deliver high quality, insightful and action-oriented analysis of monthly results to business managers, the Executive Management Team
Conduct in depth financial analysis in support of quarterly Board of Directors meeting
Define, manage, and continuously improve the FP&A processes & outputs across the organization, covering all aspects of P&L, working capital and cashflow
FP&A Process Leader, providing clear directions to Country Finance teams & other functions with forecasting and analysis expectations.
Ensures the highest level of effectiveness and continued skill development of the Finance team on business analysis.
Implement regular working capital reviews with regional finance teams, document and follow up on actions to ensure WC metrics become world-class
Lead & coach regional and country finance teams in developing commercial acumen with an externally focus perspective to contribute to the continued growth and operational improvement and become valued partners to the business
Develop partnership with internal key stakeholders (i.e. C-Suites and Country Finance team)
Establish strong business and financial planning processes, budgeting, strategic frameworks that will help to drive critical financial decisions.
Become an expert on Vena’s business and financial drivers.
Talent management for all country FP&A team which include coaching, hiring, training, mentoring and development across the Group
Pre-requisites:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA or CA qualifications.
15+ years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally as a Finance Director.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to the highest standards of accuracy and precision.
Recognized accounting professional qualifications from Singapore or international accounting bodies.
Highly organized and articulate with strong communication skills.
Creative thinker who is highly driven and self-motivated.
Strong business partnering skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to work hands-on with team members and manage in a collaborative, leadership capacity.
