Job Description
The Asia-Pacific (APAC) Head of Financial Institutions (FI), based in Singapore, will be responsible for leading and managing the FI business across APAC at the Managing Director level. This strategic leadership role involves overseeing business development, client relationship management, and operational excellence to drive growth and profitability within the financial institutions sector. The successful candidate will collaborate with global and regional leadership teams to align the APAC FI strategy with the firm's overall objectives.
Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Financial Institutions business in APAC, ensuring alignment with global objectives and capitalizing on local market opportunities.
  • Business Development: Identify and drive new business opportunities to expand the client base and enhance product offerings within the financial institutions sector across the region.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), including insurance companies, broker-dealers, asset managers, and fintech companies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of bankers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to internal policies.
  • Financial Performance: Set and achieve ambitious revenue and profitability targets, driving financial performance and sustainable growth.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform and adapt business strategy.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in managing relationships with banks and NBFIs, including insurance companies, broker-dealers and fintech companies.
  • Experience across the APAC region, with a deep understanding of the financial services sector.
  • Capable of offering valuable insights and content to Treasurers and Chief Financial Officers of financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and lead transactions.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities, including strategic thinking and vision-setting for the team.
