Job Description

As an Associate in our Currencies Emerging Markets Trading team, you will play a crucial role in supporting senior traders and managing market dynamics, specifically in EM Asia Rates, FX, and Credits. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in fixed income products and contribute to our client-focused trading strategies.
As an Associate in the Currencies Emerging Markets Trading team, you will be part of a fast-paced trading floor, assisting senior traders in covering institutional accounts and making markets. You will engage in pre-trade analysis, trade processing, and risk management, ensuring our clients receive accurate product information. Your role is vital in understanding market drivers and maintaining a balance between revenue generation and client relationship building.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior traders in responding to client requests and ensure timely communication of key developments.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand drivers and movements, and assess cross-asset implications.
  • Support P&L reconciliation and ensure accuracy in trade entries and post-trade processes.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining client relationships while balancing revenue generation.
  • Develop competence in executing trades and understanding market dynamics in EM Asia Rates/FX/Credits.
  • Adhere to firm policies for risk management and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members by sharing insights and ideas to enhance team performance.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 3 years' experience in banking/financial industries, with specific experience in trading EM Asia Rates, FX, or Credits.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of global financial markets and processes.
  • Proficiency in market and product terminology, particularly in EM Asia Rates/FX/Credits.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas effectively.
  • Knowledge of transaction lifecycle and execution orientation.
  • Understanding of risk management and market movement anticipation.
  • Ability to thrive under competitive pressures and focus on client needs.
