Job Description
Global Custody Asset Servicing and Proxy Support is an operation team set up in Hong Kong that process all types of corporate action events in APAC market. This team is also responsible to perform the oversight and governance for Proxy voting services to our client. Your primary focus as an Associate is managing the entire lifecycle of the corporate action event from event announcement, instruction reconciliation, until the completion. You are responsible to ensure that the client votes on proxy events are accurately recorded in market through the oversight process.
This role provides the platform to interact with other global partners like the middle office teams, client service manager, product partners, and other regional processing teams in the LOB on daily operational matters including monitoring, analyzing and advocating continuous improvement of the service delivery relationship between JPM and the client by leveraging various systems and digital tools across the organization. You will work with, and manage through, other operational areas both locally and globally to ensure provision of timely and efficient level of issues resolution.

Your main responsibilities include:
  • On a daily basis, ensure timely and accurate completion of Controls, Checks, Instructions, and Queries
  • Review and, where necessary, update existing processes or procedures to minimize risk and improve the operational environment.
  • Act as supervisor and checker in the team to ensure all process controls are followed
  • Reconcile, validate votes from Proxy vendors to ensure meeting information announced to the client is accurate. Escalation to Proxy vendors when is required.
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to share knowledge and strengthen the team to enhance global client experience.
  • Act as a single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution on corporate actions and proxy queries

Your background:
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience, with proven solid experience in day-to-day operation processing
  • Maintain high accuracy rate - to be able to validate input performed by another colleague
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills coupled with independent and reliable decision-making skills including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls
  • Strong communication skills, articulate key risk and challenge of daily processing to management
  • Proven experience in driving various process enhancement and digital tools initiatives globally and regional
  • Financial Services background ideally within a Custody or Investment Bank Asset Servicing experience (Income / Corporate Actions / Proxy Voting) environment is preferential.
  • Successful performance in a risk-based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction.
  • Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting and implementing new processes efficiently.
  • Flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work and comfortable to deal with pressure and fast-paced environment
