What We Need:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Game Designer to join our dynamic team here at Dynamite Games. As a Game Designer, you will collaborate closely with our design, audio, and development teams to assist in the creation and refinement of our games. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for gaming, and excellent documentation skills to ensure ideas are clearly communicated and implemented effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and development of comprehensive Game Design Documents (GDDs).
  • Design and analyse fair, balanced mathematical models, systems, and content that align with the game's overall creative direction to meet requirements.
  • Write and refine game rules and mechanics to ensure clarity and user engagement.
  • Ensure high standards of documentation are maintained throughout the design process, ensuring clear and concise communication across teams.
  • Work alongside other game designers and developers to problem-solve and create exciting and innovative games concepts.
  • Conduct playtests, gather feedback, and suggest design improvements.
  • Monitor competitor products, industry trends and emerging game mechanics to contribute informed perspectives during discussions. 
  • Apply a data-driven design mindset for systems/content design through careful analysis of user feedback and key metrics to adjust gameplay and balance.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments of the development team (Tech, Art, QA, Product, etc) to ensure design alignment and deliver the best product possible.

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

  • 3+ year(s) of experience in game design or related field (internships and personal projects considered).
  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Good understanding of game mechanics and mathematical models.
  • Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail in creating clear and structured documents.
  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g. Figma, or similar software) and version control systems.
  • Basic understanding of game audio design and its role in player engagement.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A passion for gaming and a strong desire to grow within the industry.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with game engines such as Cocos Creator and Unity;
  • Experience working with agile production methodologies and relevant project management tools such as JIRA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese Mandarin.
  • Creative flair with an ability to think outside the box and push design boundaries.
  • Comfortable with the use of AI and proven experience in incorporating AI tools into workflows
