Department Overview
The Sales department is responsible for the strategic planning of overall business growth identifying opportunities with new Companies and Clients for all Monex currency products (FX Spot, Forwards, Options) as well as maintaining relationships with existing Companies and Clients, increasing their business revenue and cross collaborating with the Introducing Brokers (IB) department wherever possible.
Job Overview
The FX Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying potential clients, conducting high volume outbound calls, building relationships with key decision makers through networking, cold calling and other methods.
The role holder will work with the sales team to drive new business revenue, building strong client relationships and working closely with key functions such as Dealing, Compliance and Risk to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. This role provides a steppingstone into the sales team if KPI’s are met.
Successful candidates will join a fast-paced environment in a globally renowned FX brokerage. Rigorous sales training will be provided along with ongoing training and sales support.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Sales Related Activity
Conduct research to identify and target potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
Conduct high volume outbound sales calls.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential clients through networking, cold calling, email outreach, and other methods.
Along with Senior Account Manager, present and promote the company's foreign exchange products and services to potential clients, emphasizing their unique value propositions and benefits.
Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities within the foreign exchange industry.
Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, including pipeline analysis, revenue forecasts, and progress towards sales targets.
Continuously update knowledge of the foreign exchange market, industry best practices, and emerging trends to effectively position our company in the market.
Maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast;
Meeting set Sales targets/KPI’s on a weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis;
Keeping accurate records and client interaction notes in the Company database FXDB (in line with PIPEDA requirements).
Required to diligently assess the needs and expectations of clients they bring onboard.
Must ensure thorough research and analysis of client requirements to guarantee optimal service provision and customer satisfaction.
Obligated to verify the authenticity and legitimacy of clients they bring onboard, safeguarding against the inclusion of false or fraudulent individuals or entities in the company’s clientele.
Operational & Compliance Responsibilities
Adhere to all internal sales processes, remuneration policies, and risk management frameworks
Ensure compliance with key regulatory policies including Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), pricing, and conduct standards
Identify and escalate any conduct or compliance risks appropriately
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within financial services or FX
Strong ability to generate new business and close deals
Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service
Commercially driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Additional Qualifications
Experience working within a regulated financial institution is highly desirable
Proven track record of operating within a commercial sales environment
Ability to clearly articulate full understanding of end-to-end sales processes
Strong sales techniques (Negotiation, influencing and closing skills)
Good knowledge of FX products is a plus
Excellent all-round communication skills, strong judgement and problem-solving skills
Results driven, self-motivated and takes initiative
Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
