Department Overview

The Sales department is responsible for the strategic planning of overall business growth identifying opportunities with new Companies and Clients for all Monex currency products (FX Spot, Forwards, Options) as well as maintaining relationships with existing Companies and Clients, increasing their business revenue and cross collaborating with the Introducing Brokers (IB) department wherever possible.

Job Overview

FX Sales is responsible for the management of the Sales relationships with existing client accounts as well as prospecting new Clients and Accounts. They serve as the interface between Clients and the Dealing Team and work closely with Compliance and Risk to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.

The role holder requires knowledge of all MonFX’s products and the regulatory framework under which they must operates to successfully market these products to new and existing Clients, putting the Clients’ long-term interests first with fair and equitable outcomes for both the role holder and the firm.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Sales Responsibilities (mainly Singapore and Asia Pacific)

  • Drive new business by pitching and closing deals with prospective clients via phone and face-to-face meetings
  • Build and manage your own pipeline while consistently delivering against revenue targets
  • Manage client relationships through onboarding and first trades, ensuring a seamless experience
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline tracking using CRM systems
  • Monitor sales performance and adapt strategies to maximise results
  • Provide market feedback and insights to senior leadership to support product and revenue growth
  • Conduct thorough needs analysis to deliver tailored FX solutions to clients
  • Ensure all clients are properly vetted and meet regulatory and compliance standards

Operational & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all internal sales processes, remuneration policies, and risk management frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory policies including Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), pricing, and conduct standards
  • Identify and escalate any conduct or compliance risks appropriately

Risk, Technology & Data

  • Participate in regular sales audits and risk assessments
  • Ensure all client data is handled in compliance with PDPA, GDPR and internal data protection policies

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within financial services or FX
  • Strong ability to generate new business and close deals
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service
  • Commercially driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working within a regulated financial institution is highly desirable
  • Proven track record of operating within a commercial sales environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate full understanding of end-to-end sales processes
  • Strong sales techniques (Negotiation, influencing and closing skills)
  • Good knowledge of FX products is a plus
  • Excellent all-round communication skills, strong judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Results driven, self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
