Based in Singapore and reporting to the Singapore Financial Controller, the candidate will be focusing on managing annual financial planning, forecasting and management reporting processes. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with the broader team to continually improve and streamline processes, as well as provide support for a range of ad hoc projects/reports as they arise within the general finance area.

This is an exciting role with exposure to the building blocks of the business, as well as insights into the rationale and justification behind Management’s business strategies.

Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:

  • Monitoring financial KPIs and reporting monthly results to management, internal stakeholders and Head Office

  • Building out the annual financial plan for Singapore and Australia using assumptions that are driven by solid understanding of business drivers

  • Quarterly forecasting of the P&L to reflect recent changes in the business drivers

  • Develop roll-forward and other supporting analysis to explain variances in plan and forecast

  • Prepare presentation materials for annual business plan and quarterly forecasting

  • Provide strategic and financial support to 5-year plan prepared annually

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives

  • Deliver a range of ad hoc analysis and presentation as required

  • Ability to manage and lead a small team as well as cooperate with other internal teams

  • Sales growth expectations are high and maintaining growth rates are critical for achieving our strategic objectives. The sales plan reflects the aggressive goals underlying our anticipated operating results.

  • Volatile medical trend and other economic factors impact reliability of the financial projection and pricing

  • The need to navigate complex internal and external stakeholders to find compliant solutions in new markets that are very heavily regulated

  • Broad exposure to all aspect of business operations and to develop leadership/general management skills

  • External influencing, thought leadership and partner exposure

Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Finance or Actuarial graduate

  • Financial analysis skills with ability to pick up on financial trends and communicate effectively with management to ensure the business can take appropriate actions.

  • Dynamic individual able to work with a broad range of people across the organization.

  • Results oriented individual with a drive for continuous improvement and proven success in achieving goals

  • Ability to juggle priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Problem Solving – ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Familiar with Power BI would be preferrable
