Job Summary
Equinix Financial Reporting and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for providing financial leadership to support decisions pertaining to the financial health of the company. FP&A is primarily responsible for forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis and business partnering. The group is designed to provide highly motivated and skilled individuals career development opportunities at a growing company.
As part of the Equinix FinOps team, this role will support the Global Design & Construction (GDC) team with their budgeting and forecasting of Opex and Capex. This role requires strong business partnering with the GDC team as well as with cross functional teams such as the accounting team.
Responsibilities
Forecasting
· Provides analysis for quarterly and annual revenue, cost and budget forecasts
· Highlights actual vs. target discrepancies and trends as appropriate. Become the subject matter authority and key point of contact in FP&A all matters pertaining to budget and forecasts and actualization of Global Design & Construction
Reporting
· Creates corporate, product, operations and sales financial reporting documents for Executive Management, including financial information, key metrics and insightful variance analysis and commentary (i.e. monthly management deck, quarterly regional performance reviews, quarterly forecast presentations, budget presentations, etc.) for the purposes of cost and revenue analysis
· Provides process improvement recommendations
Financial Analysis
· Solves problems related to the regional, functional and country complexity of our business model
· Actively review how we can improve speed and timeliness of FP&A activities, without compromising accuracy and ways to increase efficiency
· Develop cross-functional partnerships with leaders across the business to understand opportunities and risks so that finance can better serve the organization financially
· Assist with special projects that support corporate, global and local finance initiatives
Qualifications
· 1-3 years’ experience in finance or related field preferred
· Have prior exposure in analytical or forecasting work in corporate finance setting
· Bachelor’s degree in specializing in Finance
· Required skills: Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table), VBA, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Words
