Job Description

The incumbent at United Overseas Bank Ltd will lead strategic initiatives, manage high-value client portfolios, and drive business growth in alignment with the bank's objectives.
Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with key corporate and high-net-worth individual clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Oversee a team of financial professionals, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and economic indicators to inform strategic decisions and identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Lead complex financial transactions, including structuring deals, negotiating terms, and overseeing execution.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports and business proposals to senior management and clients.
• Collaborate with other departments to leverage cross-functional expertise and enhance client solutions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, managing significant client relationships, and achieving financial targets.
• Strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically, analyze complex data, and make sound business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and effectively negotiate.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and relevant banking software.
