Role SummaryReporting to the VP Finance (Deputy CFO), the Financial Controller will be responsible for group financial control, reporting integrity, and compliance across Eureka’s entities.
You will oversee the month-end and year-end close, consolidation under IFRS, audit coordination, and implementation of stronger controls and processes as the company scales globally.
This role requires both technical depth and hands-on leadership, partnering closely with operations, R&D, and business unit heads to ensure financial transparency and readiness for future milestones such as Series B+ fundraise and IPO preparation.
In addition, the role will involve taking on ad-hoc tasks, special projects, and new scopes of responsibility as the business continues to evolve. This may include cross-functional initiatives, process transformation, and support for strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Consolidation
- Overseas timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all entities (SG, VN, JP, US).
- Prepare group consolidated financial statements under IFRS, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain the group chart of accounts, intercompany reconciliation framework, and consolidation schedules.
- Drive the preparation of board and investor reports with analysis of performance, margins, and cash flow.
Governance, control & Compliance
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation across entities.
- Lead, coordination of annual statutory audits and tax filings with external auditors and advisors.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, SFRS, and local regulations (US-GAAP, J-GAAP, Vietnamese-GAAP).
- Implement periodic balance sheet reviews, policy updates, and entity-level health checks.
Systems & Process improvement
- Spearhead the implementation of ERP or accounting system integration across the group.
- Standardize workflows for procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report cycles.
- Collaborate with IT and operations to embed automation, project racking, and data accuracy.
Business Partnering & Strategic Support
- Work with the VP Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Provide insight on cost control, margin analysis, and working capital optimization.
- Contribute to fundraising due diligence, and financial modeling support when required.
Investor & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with the VP Finance to prepare investor updates, funding decks, and board materials, ensuring consistency between financial and business narrative.
- Support scenario planning and validation analysis for strategic initiatives and new market entries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure finance alignment with commercial, R&D, and operations teams, fostering data-driven decision-making.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and mentor finance team members across Singapore, Vietnam, and Japan.
- Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPT/CA preferred.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience, including multi-entity group consolidation and regional exposure.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, consolidation, and intercompany accounting.
- Experience in manufacturing, robotics, engineering, or technology sectors preferred.
- Proven ability to design and implement financial controls, policies, and systems.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills; experience with ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Business Central, Xero) advantageous.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills; able to operate in a hands-on startup environment.
