Position Summary:

PPB is a rapidly growing business within Applied Materials. We are harnessing the power of Applied Material’s world-leading material science and nano-fabrication capabilities to enable the generation of augmented reality smart glasses.

This is a high-impact role for a seasoned finance professional who will serve as the primary finance business partner to the PPB leadership team, acting as the main point of contact for PPB Manufacturing in Singapore. This role owns full financial oversight for the site, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and compliance, while driving operational excellence and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership

  • Act as the primary finance liaison for PPB Manufacturing in Singapore.
  • Provide regular financial updates and reviews with factory leadership and PPB Finance teams.

Financial Management

  • Full ownership of site financials: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and compliance.
  • Support quarterly forecasting and planning cycles
  • Maintain cost models for headcount, materials, inventory, capex, and variances.
  • Manage hiring plans, asset deployment, and factory consumables tracking.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and logistics for financial planning.
  • Support S&OP planning and factory KPI reporting.
  • Ensure accurate actuals vs. plan tracking; manage accruals, inventory reconciliation
  • Oversee physical inventory, year-end audit, and tax support.

Systems & Compliance

  • Support ERP design and business process implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with EDB grant requirements.
  • Coordinate with global COE and accounting resources for process execution.
  • Partner with local and corporate teams on audit, SOX, trade, tax, statutory reporting, and intercompany transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or operations.
  • Strong knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and compliance processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and business process implementation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate across global teams.
