Job Description

Join our dynamic team and contribute your expertise to drive the successful delivery of complex finance systems projects within our organisation. As a Finance Systems Manager leading our project management team for APAC, you will play a pivotal role in leading our regional initiatives, managing requirements, and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams to achieve smooth finance systems go-lives.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Systems Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the requirements intake and prioritisation process for the Finance Systems team in the region. You will lead a small, but effective team of project managers, bridging the gap between various business and technology teams to deliver fast, optimised, and impactful finance system solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage complex finance systems projects across the APAC region, ensuring on-time and within-scope delivery.
  • Manage the requirements intake and prioritisation process for the Finance Systems team in APAC, aligning regional business needs with technology roadmaps.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small, but highly effective team of project managers across APAC to drive project excellence.
  • Close the gap between different business units and technology teams to facilitate fast, smooth, and successful finance systems go-lives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their regional needs and provide expert advice on project management best practices and finance system workflows.
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage dependencies, and support end-to-end testing phases to safeguard the integrity of finance system deployments.
  • Partner with cross-functional and global teams to ensure successful localisation and integration of finance systems across APAC countries.
  • Stay pro-active in identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous improvements to existing project management frameworks and ways of working.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile) are highly desirable.
  • A good general understanding of SAP ecosystems and how they integrate within a broader corporate finance landscape.
  • Very strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex systems projects within a regional or multinational setup.
  • Very strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with both technical teams and senior business leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • A highly pro-active mindset, always driving to optimize processes, challenge the status quo, and improve existing ways of working.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing a small team of project managers or business analysts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to seamlessly bridge the gap between business and technology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic hub environment and manage multiple regional priorities simultaneously.
