The Finance Operations Executive is part of the Treasury & Disbursement team, responsible for the full spectrum of disbursement, month-end close, and reconciliation activities. This includes daily payment processing of Insurance, commission and expense payout, investment bank transfers, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives. The role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal policy requirements, while managing large transaction and data volumes under tight deadlines. Reporting to the Lead, Finance Operations, the Executive also plays a key role in risk control, system enhancements, process improvements and cross-department collaboration, proactively resolving issues to deliver timely and accurate financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Finance Operations Executive is part of the Treasury & Disbursement team, responsible for the full spectrum of disbursement, month-end close, and reconciliation activities. This includes daily payment processing of Insurance, commission and expense payout, investment bank transfers, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives. The role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal policy requirements, while managing large transaction and data volumes under tight deadlines. Reporting to the Lead, Finance Operations, the Executive also plays a key role in risk control, system enhancements, process improvements and cross-department collaboration, proactively resolving issues to deliver timely and accurate financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily payments for insurance-related payout, vendors, staff reimbursements, commissions, incentives, and investment bank transfers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Perform various reconciliations (e.g., bank reconciliation, balance sheet, interfund and inter-company) and investigate variances promptly.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions (e.g., Premium, Claims, NBP), fixed asset accounting, and expense allocations.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot finance systems (e.g., Oracle, Anaplan), resolving internal customer enquiries on system or report issues.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, recommending and implementing improvements to strengthen controls and streamline workflows.
  • Prepare ad-hoc schedules, provide audit samples, and conduct financial analyses as required.
  • Escalate and propose remediation for potential processing risks.
  • Support projects, system enhancements, and any other assignments from management.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Background in the insurance industry with a strong understanding of insurance accounting.
  • Experience in payment processing, reconciliations, and month-end closing in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
  • High personal levels of motivation and delivery orientated focus
  • Proficiency in financial systems (Oracle Fusion experience preferred).
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outputs.
