We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Operations Analyst to support day-to-day financial processes, ensure accuracy in transactions, and enhance operational efficiency. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and systems, and plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations & Reconciliation
- Perform daily reconciliation of transactions, balances, and settlements across systems and bank accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, exceptions, and failed transactions
- Monitor payment flows, including inbound and outbound transfers
2. Payment & Settlement Management
- Manage end-to-end payment processes (e.g., bank transfers, card settlements, wallets)
- Track settlement timelines and ensure compliance with scheme/bank requirements
- Liaise with payment partners, banks, and internal teams to resolve issues
3. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Analyze transaction trends, volumes, and anomalies
- Support forecasting and cash flow monitoring
4. Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to workflows
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to automate manual processes
- Enhance controls to reduce operational risks
5. Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
- Support audit processes by providing documentation and explanations
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails
6. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Treasury, Product, Customer Support)
- Communicate issues clearly and escalate where necessary
- Support business initiatives such as new product launches or market expansions
Requirements
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented individual with integrity, open mindset, and accountability.
- Interested in working at a fintech start-up and thriving in a dynamic working environment.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (SQL or data tools is a plus).
- Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks under pressure
- 2–5 years of experience in financial operations, payments, fintech, or banking
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
