About the team:
As Finance Manager for Corporate Development & Partnerships you will be part of a highly talented Finance team who are passionate about supporting the digital bank’s business growth by ensuring finance support for corporate development & partnership initiatives, strategy, accurate and timely reporting with adequate controls and valuable financial analysis & insights to enable strategic and day to day business decisions. Responsibilities:
As a member of the GXS finance team, you will be directly responsible to provide finance support for various corporate development & partnership initiatives to grow the business in the Retail & MSME banking space. The areas of the work will include but not limited to providing critical and insightful finance support for both organic & inorganic growth initiatives, partnership led growth in varied areas of business linked to lending, deposits & wealth growth and technology partnerships with new partners to launch new products. The role includes working with close coordination with various internal and external stakeholders at various levels to accomplish the objectives.

Finance lead and contact point for all corporate development & partnership initiatives across the bank to enable exponential business growth in the Retail & MSME space.

This will include but not limited to various growth initiatives in the inorganic space like acquisitions, purchase of a significant stake in a corporate etc. and in the organic space like strategic partnerships to grow customer base and balance sheet, new product launches with external partners, new technology platforms for implementing efficient, faster to market and market leading digital customer experiences.

Provide valuable insights and analysis including market sizing & competition research, financial modeling, scenario building and forecasting, financial analysis for strategic decision making.

Drive the finance due diligence process with deep understanding of the business model & revenue, cost & risk drivers and provide insightful analysis that can drive the key decisions like build v/s buy, risk benefit analysis, valuation of the business etc.

Drive the key aspects of the corporate development relating to deal commercials & validations, funding & structuring, due diligence, valuation and accounting.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to analyse the overall finance impact on various areas like return on equity, return on investment, EBITDA, strategic benefits, accounting and reporting, balance sheet & treasury etc. for the project. Work jointly with the business and project team to join and connect the finance impact with the overall project/outcome report that enables the management & the board in decision making.

Co-ordinate with the finance team in GXS Bank and across group to ensure that all the elements of the finance including accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, balance sheet management & treasury, FP&A have been considered and well thought through in terms of impact and solutions for effective and proactive management of all finance deliverables followed by a detailed finance project plan from design to UAT & launch covering all the areas within finance.

Manage various artifacts and papers to be submitted to the management team and at board level with a crisp and clear representation of the intent, outcomes, financial impacts and linkage to the overall strategy of the bank.

Support the regulatory submissions and queries related to finance areas for the projects are adequately and timely responded in conjunction with the project lead.

Provide leadership and guidance to the other members of the project team to ensure success and completion of the project.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.

Experience in directly managing or supporting Retail and MSME banking business will be an added advantage.

Extensive experience in financial planning & analysis, business modelling, scenario building and providing thoughtful recommendations to leadership based on data analytics & facts, market & competition information, economic forecasts and external & internal insights relating to business, customers & market.

Experience in driving directly or indirectly the key aspects of the corporate development relating to deal commercials & validations, funding & structuring, due diligence, valuation and accounting will be an added advantage.

Finance knowledge relating to accounting & reporting to enable assess the finance related impacts so that respective experts within the finance team can be consulted.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
