Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Finance Business Partnering Manager to join our regional Strategic Finance team in Singapore. This role serves as a co-pilot to the executive leadership team (e-team) and business unit (BU) heads, delivering cross-functional insights, scenario modeling, and resource allocation support that directly shapes group-wide performance and strategy.
You will be embedded in our "storytelling engine", delivering insight-rich narratives and financial analysis that influence decisions made by the Group CFO, Group CEO, and Board of Directors. This is a rotational role that supports verticals such as Platform, Recommerce, and other business lines on a group-wide basis — intentionally designed to break down BU silos and build pattern recognition across businesses.
This is an ideal next step for high-performing analysts from investment banks, consulting, or strategic FP&A roles in large tech firms who are looking to move in-house and help shape business strategy, not just observe it.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
Act as a thought partner to BU leaders and e-team, contributing to strategic decision-making across the business.
Drive cross-business scenario planning, forecasting, and resource trade-off dialogues at the group level.
Rotate across business lines (e.g., Platform, Recommerce) to build holistic insight and promote central coordination.
Strategic Planning & Long-Term Planning (LTP)
Lead the Long-Term Planning (LTP) process for assigned business lines in alignment with Group strategy.
Help define strategic goals, quantify business outcomes, and identify risks or gaps.
Translate BU-specific assumptions into group-level outcomes.
Strategic Investment Appraisal
Build business cases and model ROI for major investments, new initiatives, and resource allocation decisions.
Influence strategic investments by surfacing high-impact financial insights.
Track and measure the success of strategic bets and advise on course-corrections.
Executive Reporting & Storytelling
Own the preparation of Board decks, investor updates, and Group CEO/CFO briefing materials.
Help develop the overarching financial narrative for leadership and external communications.
Work closely with the reporting engine to ensure data and insight readiness.
8–10 years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Commercial Strategy, or Business Partnering.
Strong preference for candidates from:
Sell-side equity research (investment banks)
Tech company FP&A or country finance teams, especially those with GM exposure.
Strategy consulting or commercial roles supporting executive-level decisions.
Experience in high-growth tech, e-commerce, or platform-based businesses is a strong plus.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions with data and insights.
Demonstrated experience in developing and analyzing pricing strategies, as well as conducting productivity-related analyses, including sales metrics, performance targets, and commission structures.
Skilled in analyzing and optimizing offline retail store performance, with a focus on key metrics such as footfall, conversion rates, sales performance, and inventory efficiency.
Excellent financial modeling and scenario planning skills.
Exceptional storytelling and presentation ability — both written and verbal.
Comfortable working with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and planning systems (e.g., Jedox, Oracle NetSuite).
