Finance Business Analyst (6months contract)

What you'll do

Dashboard Development & Data Analytics

• Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI and Tableau dashboards for financial reporting across APAC markets (ABCD, lending analytics, KPI, RWA)
• Develop complex DAX measures, data models, and troubleshoot visualization issues
• Ensure data quality and resolve discrepancies between reporting systems

Automation & Technical Solutions

• Develop Python scripts and VBA macros to automate data processing and financial workflows
• Explore and implement automation solutions, including Gen AI tools
• Write SQL queries for data extraction and validation

Digital Transformation & Innovation

• Support AI Center of Excellence initiatives and evaluate new analytical tools
• Debug technical issues and document solutions for finance teams
• Collaborate with global technology teams and contribute to proof-of-concepts
• Contribute to the build-out and enhancement drive for internal build regulatory reporting system (RRP), translate business requirements into clear, well-defined user stories and functional specifications for automation
• Partner closely with Technology team to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of requirements
• Support project delivery through UATs, documentation of processes and effective handover to BAU users
• Experience in MAS local regulatory reporting regime an added advantage

What you bring

Essential Skills

• Strong Python proficiency (pandas, numpy) for data analysis and automation
• Advanced Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard design)
• VBA programming for Excel automation
• SQL for data extraction and validation
• Tableau experience or ability to learn quickly
• Git/version control basics
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or quantitative field
• 3-5 years in technical analyst or developer role in a finance environment for a bank or in a finance role with strong focus on data analytics and automation
• Good understanding of financial concepts (P&L, balance sheets, banking products) preferred
