Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.
As a Process Control System (PCS) Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. You will also be required to identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems by applying failure analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 8D or Statistical Process Control (SPC)/Fault Detection & Classification (FDC) methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
As PCS Engineer we will be responsible to develop smart manufacturing solutions towards the Industry 4.0 standard. We will gain exposure and knowledge in many innovative areas including Machine Learning, Advanced Control Solutions, Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) and Deep Learning. As a PDE PCS Engineer, we will have the opportunity to develop a complete solution that starts with requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling with big data platform, followed by system development and integration; and then network wide implementation. The work we do directly affects the bottom line of the entire company by providing scrap/excursion control, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advanced Process Control (APC or Run-to-Run), Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), and overall enhanced process capability. We will meet regularly and team with Process areas to understand their tools, processes, and challenges and work with them to create process control models, strategies, and other methods for ensuring quality output.
We develop, implement and improve smart control solutions for optimum manufacturing performance.
We provide technical advice and support for process control implementation
We conduct intensive data analysis and modeling to identify sources of variation in the process and translate it into control solutions.
We support PDE Key Equipment Group (KEG) team in Classification, Characterization and Categorization and define Data Collection Requirements, Perform Integration and Setup Data Collection in Enterprise Equipment Engineering (E3) Environment.
We define Analysis and setup Requirements and Setup Limits and Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP) and engage in periodic review with PCS team and network on Best Known Material (BKM) practices.
We develop and deliver training on control systems and related topics.
