Job Summary:
The Finance Operations Analyst will be responsible for processing premium and claim payments, payment refund, daily cash application and supporting month-end reporting deliverables including Accounts Receivables and queries. This role involves liaising with Underwriters, Brokers, and senior management, managing premium escalation processes, and assisting with finance operations projects and initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & ReconciliationProcess premium and claim payments and monitor settled direct transactions in the workflow system
Ensure unallocated receipts are matched on a timely basis
Work with stakeholders to resolve disputes and maintain unallocated receipts to acceptable levels
Liaise with Underwriters, Brokers and senior management to ensure timely booking of policies
Liaise with operations and internal stakeholders to ensure the accurate processing of premium
Process claims, premium refunds and commissions
Manage the premium escalation process
Support with month end closing activities
Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly operation reports within closing timelines
Ensure compliance with established SOX procedures
Assist in projects and initiative in Finance Operations
Participate in process improvement projects to enhance Finance Operation efficiency
Cover for team members during absences and perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Diploma in Finance or Accounting
Background in Account Receivables desirable
More than 3 years in Finance Operations
Previous experience working in the insurance environment an advantage
Experience in handling volume transactions
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft products coupled with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet weekly and monthly reporting deadlines. Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively and work under pressure
Ability to work well under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
Collaborative, communicative, and empowering values
Strong team player with effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
Desire to look for opportunities to deliver process efficiencies to support the drive for a scalable function
