Job DescriptionPrimary Objective:
- The incumbent will join the team for all Head Office, regulatory reporting and submissions
- Involve in the preparation and submission of reports and returns
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and tax computation for RHB Bank Singapore Branch and subsidiaries
- Reporting to regulatory and statutory bodies
- Support businesses as subject matter expert on HO and regulatory implications
- Assist in the review of all processes to ensure operational risk and high risk audit points are mitigated
- Ensure all policy documents are regularly updated to reflect current market conditions
Key Responsibilities:
Statutory and Regulatory Reporting
- Provide support to Team Lead & HOD
- Provide support to closing of month-end / year-end and financial reporting
- Prepare / check statutory accounts of RHB Singapore Branch
- Prepare / check reports for submission to Head Office
- Reviews and update Finance risk governance and controls
- Prepare regulatory returns for submission to MAS
- Prepare/ check tax computations and tax related submissions to regulators
Others
- Advise other business units on financial accounting matters
- Involve in new initiatives/ facilitate implementation of new products / systems
- Improve team’s financial reporting governance and provide suggestions for efficiency gains
- Participate in UAT and new product launches and testings
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or Equivalent or Qualified accountant (ACCA, Chartered Accountant)
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, preferably in an established audit firm or the finance department of a bank
- Experience with MAS and Banking Act regulations and reporting is a plus
- Well versed with latest FRS developments
- Good understanding of internal controls and data governance
- Resourceful with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent, responsible, and able to multi task in a fast-paced environment. Able to work under pressure & deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous with an eye for detail
- Proficient in MS Excel, conversant in computerized environment and be able to value add to improve work processes
