Job Description

This is for the Infrastructure team. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Performing concept and detailed design of electrical systems including transmission and power projects
  • Take responsibility for the assigned design components, including the necessary follow-up for approval from relevant authorities and clients.
  • Assist in liaising and coordinating with Local Authority Departments to secure approval for design projects.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for design projects under the guidance of senior engineers/managers.
  • Work under guidance and supervision of a senior level team member.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Master’s in Electrical engineering or equivalent 
  • Minimally 3-5 years of experience as a transmission engineer
  • Experience in reviewing submissions on compliance to IEC standards and contract specifications pertaining to 400kV cables, auxillary cables and associated accessories. Design of the 400kV circuits with direct burial method or inside tunnel an advantage
  • Understand the different type of bonding configuration such as cross-bonding, single point bonding, etc and power cable transpose.
  • Knowledge of parameters affected the cable ampacity and sheath induce voltage (able to do CYMCAP modeling will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of protection system in the transmission network and FAT for transmission cable will be an advantage.
