Perform civil, structural and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures (quay walls, ports, jetties, revetments, reclamation). Plan and interpret site investigations, manage subcontracts, supervise design and site works, ensure compliance with codes and regulations, engage stakeholders, and support tender submissions and project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects
- Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager / Design Manager to carry out:
- C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e: deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc)
- Plan for Site investigation and result interpretation,
- Managing sub contracts (i.e: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc)
- Supervise both design and/or site work
- Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice
- Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties
- Support on pursue project : assist in tender submission
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering recognised by BCA/IES/ACES and from reputable university
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant civil engineering experience in large scale infrastructure/reclamation projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player and able to multi-task
- Discipline, self-motivated and resourceful
- Experience in contract administration will be advantageous
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc
