This role will have primary responsibility for markets across the region, ensuring sharper accountability and stronger connection between global investment direction, APAC market realities, and commercial outcomes.

This role will move Investment from a primarily functional or partner-led remit to a growth engine, ensuring one clear voice for Investment in senior discussions.  The EVP will lead the capability across markets to drive market-nuanced solutions, stretch-growth ambitions, trading excellence, compliance and governance. Working closely with global investment leadership, APAC market CEOs and CFOs, client leaders, commercial, finance, data, technology, partnerships and media owner teams, the role will set direction, scale what works, build bench strength and return Investment to a more strategic, opportunistic and commercially influential role in the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Investment leadership and guidance to the senior WPP Media Leadership team, through ongoing education, clear goals, and expectation setting, including clarity around accountability for growth.
  • Drive market performance, client value and stretch-growth outcomes, driving a culture of growth through our organization
  • Lead trading excellence, value management, pricing and governance.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to ensure that all WPP Media is operating within our governance rules as per the “Investment Policy”, and that risk management strategies are in place where necessary and required.
  • Act as the single senior Investment voice across regional, market, client and global discussions.
  • Connect global investment priorities with APAC market realities to ensure regional strategy is practical, market-relevant and commercially effective - maintain a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, client needs, and competitive dynamics to inform solution development and prioritization.
  • Build investment capability, succession and bench strength across APAC.
  • Align media owner and partner opportunities to future market needs.
  • Partner with APAC market CEOs and CFOs to strengthen investment performance, commercial governance and market accountability.
  • Partner across Client Solutions, Commercial, Finance, Data, Technology and market leadership to make Investment a proactive growth driver.
  • Lead Transformative Change: Successfully lead large-scale organizational change initiatives related to media investment, ensuring the achievement of ambitious company goals while fostering an environment of high employee engagement and resilience.
  • Champion Regional Consistency: Partner seamlessly with other APAC SLT members to ensure the successful, consistent, and high-quality implementation of all strategic initiatives across the region.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will bring significant senior investment leadership experience across a multi-market landscape, ideally within a media agency. They will have deep expertise in investment strategy, market leadership, implementation planning, offline and digital negotiations, trading performance, pricing benchmarks, value management, partner leverage, financial governance, audit delivery, compliance and commercial growth. This is a senior regional leader with the gravitas to influence markets, clients, media partners and global stakeholders, and the ability to convert market intelligence, client signals, economic shifts, audience trends and emerging trading models into practical growth opportunities. They will be comfortable setting the market agenda, challenging legacy ways of working, driving stretch goals and creating clear accountability across diverse teams and markets. Strong people leadership is essential, including the ability to develop succession, strengthen the second layer, raise craft standards and build a proactive, high-performing investment culture across APAC. The role requires excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, strong command of investment tools, value frameworks and governance processes, and the confidence to lead change across markets with clarity, consistency and pace.
