In this role, you will lead marketing planning and execution for Thomson Reuters Legal Media Group events portfolio with a view of securing sponsorship leads, participant attendance and seat sales.
About the Role
As an Events Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for the following:

  • Develop and execute social media strategy for events to meet objectives and track success of efforts including reporting on key statistics including commercial returns and customer feedback.

  • Manage marketing plans for events. Identify opportunities to cross market multiple events.

  • Work closely with event producers to produce clear marketing briefs, goals and responsibilities from the outset of every event.

  • Proactive member of events team, providing ideas and feedback beyond marketing elements of event.

  • Coordinate with event producer and layout artist for the production of all events marketing collateral (including website banners and onsite materials).

  • Write compelling copy for all promotional materials.

  • Draft speeches for Senior Director, Legal Media Group for delivery at events.

  • Build case studies of successful events to support sales team in their prospecting process.

  • Build and manage marketing lists for new events.

About You
As an Events Marketing Specialist, you should ideally possess the following:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing for B2B events, particularly for large conferences.

  • Educated to degree level or higher.

  • Strong mastery of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Email marketing experience – must be comfortable using email marketing platforms and the data management aspect email marketing.

  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends for B2B events.

  • Ability to use social media to help events achieve their marketing objectives.

  • Good time management and ability to focus on a number of different projects at a time.

  • Strong copy writing skills.

  • Great attention to details.

  • Knowledge of the legal and financial industry in SE Asia is beneficial but not essential.
