They are skilled at developing compelling event content, building strategic partnerships, managing agencies and vendors, and leveraging B2B marketing channels to maximize reach, influence, and measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute customer-centric event strategies that support regional marketing priorities, business growth objectives, and strategic account engagement across APAC.

  • Lead the development and growth of flagship event franchises and proprietary event platforms, ensuring strong customer engagement, market differentiation, and measurable business impact.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external thought leaders to develop compelling event themes, content strategies, and customer experiences that resonate with priority audience segments across APAC.

  • Identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities with industry associations, media platforms, ecosystem partners, keynote speakers, and co-investment partners to enhance event value, reach, and commercial outcomes.

  • Support the end-to-end planning and execution of physical, virtual, and hybrid events, from concept creation, campaign development and stakeholder alignment through delivery and post-event evaluation.

  • Partner closely with Sales and Product teams to design event programs that create meaningful customer engagement opportunities and contribute to pipeline generation and revenue growth.

Program & Project Management

  • Manage multiple event projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives.

  • Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, stakeholder communication plans, risk registers, and event governance processes to ensure flawless execution.

  • Establish and drive event measurement frameworks, including event evaluation, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction, pipeline influence, sourced revenue, and ROI reporting.

Vendor & Agency Management

  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage event agencies, production vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery and cost efficiency.

  • Oversee all aspects of agency performance, ensuring consistency in execution, creativity, customer experience, and adherence to Maersk brand standards.

Innovation & Best Practices

  • Drive innovation by identifying and testing new event formats, technologies, platforms, and engagement approaches to continuously improve event effectiveness and customer experience.

  • Lead "test-and-learn" initiatives across the APAC marketing organization, capturing insights and sharing best practices to elevate event excellence across teams.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging event trends, audience behaviors, and technology platforms to ensure Maersk remains at the forefront of customer engagement and event innovation.

Regional Collaboration & Governance

  • Serve as a key liaison between APAC Marketing, Global Marketing, Communications, and local market teams to ensure alignment, scalability, and knowledge sharing.

  • Build relationships with strategic industry organizations, event platforms, and ecosystem partners to expand Maersk's market presence and customer engagement opportunities.

  • Act as the APAC point of contact for event governance, budget management, and best-practice adoption, leveraging global frameworks while tailoring approaches to regional customer needs.

  • Continuously review and improve event processes, tools, and standards to enhance operational efficiency and execution quality across the region.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B event marketing, conference management, experiential marketing, or customer engagement programs.

  • Proven track record of planning and delivering large-scale customer events, executive forums, webinars, trade shows, and other marketing programs.

  • Strong understanding of the APAC market, customer needs, and cultural nuances across the region.

  • Experience developing event strategies, content, and customer experiences for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with agencies, vendors, speakers, partners, and other external stakeholders.

  • Commercial mindset with an understanding of how events contribute to customer engagement, pipeline growth, and business outcomes.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, budgets, and timelines simultaneously.

  • Data-driven approach to measuring event performance, customer engagement, and return on investment.
