As an Equity Derivatives Sales Support Associate/Analyst within our dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client services and interacting with external clients daily. Your role will involve overseeing and controlling post-trade activities related to our sales activities across a diverse range of clients, including corporate clients, institutional investors, hedge funds, asset managers, and wealth management offices. Job responsibilities
- Provide client services on queries related to any post trade activities including new trades issuances, lifecycle events, etc. to a variety of clients across corporate clients, institutional investors, hedge funds, asset managers and wealth management clients
- Ensure client queries are addressed timely and appropriately
- Work closely with other Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a 'one team approach'
- Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed-off on a timely basis
- Ensure regulatory obligations are fulfilled and participate to changes with regulation
- Collaborate with Sales, trading and business management to any new business opportunities and help designing controls and process
- Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture
- Build an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a middle office function supporting relevant role relating to Equity Derivatives.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office and the ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily.
- Strong Product knowledge on Equity Derivative Products, in particular - OTC Options, Equity Swaps, Accumulators / Decumulators, Retail Structured Products - FCN, ELN, etc.
- Knowledge of the front to back Operations process (including the key elements such as confirmations, settlements, regulatory reporting) and facilitate issue resolution across teams
- Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (i.e. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral etc.) and recognize the impact of the actions of the Trade support team on these areas
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide exceptional client services and problem solving
- Positive attitude; solid business acumen; strong level of professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment to ensure tasks are dealt with appropriately within timely manner; maintaining a high level of client service, while at all times adhering to controls and policies of the business.
- Great team player able to work in a pressurized and evolving environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of VBA / SQL and experience with digital tools such as Xceptor, Alteryx, Tableau, Robotics, etc. would be an asset
